With the spawning of the new website I hope to slowly introduce more of our own content not just the regurgitation of other peoples hard work….that being said it will still be necessary to ‘gurg or there will be a lot empty space, suggestions or contributions are welcomed.
Well onto business. Anyone who follows us on Facebook will have seen we caught a glimpse of the new Pivot 5.7 Carbon frame due to be released around December. There are numerous build options or frame only and the pricing coming right down with the frame rrp set at $2999.00. This thing is burley as all hell with nice little additions like cable routing for dropper seat posts, 142mm rear spacing w/ 12mm through axe for stiff rear ends, rubberised leather frame protectors and the new Fox Kashima Rp23 shock.
We have a few of these puppies pre-ordered one of which will be a demo bike.
It’s a nice time of the year as people brush off the winter icicles and start looking for little pressies make their bikes feel loved and appreciated. We had our first pair of Mavic R-Sys SLR wheels roll through. These wheels are hot! The all black Exalith finish gives an understated stealth appeal. From all accounts this finish kills the first set of pads but from then keeps normal pad usage with delayed rim wear. 1370g per set or a claimed 1960g with rubber makes them nice and light.
Mavic have also incorporated a revolutionary technology called WTS, or Wheel-Tyre-System, whereby they take a wheel and put a tyre on it….revolutionary or WTS. But very cool all the same!
