MilkD Cafe

While Baysie is the spiritual soul of Cycles Bespoke, the palpitating, caffeinated heart is nestled in Maylands in the form of MilkD Cafe. Located on 8th Ave between Guilford and Whatley, MilkD has been the coffee stop choice to flaunt our shaven legs and recount, blow by blow, our cycling exploits since day naught.

There can be sometimes be an uneasy stand-off between cyclists and cafes. We pile our bikes against their windows, clack, slip, and fall about their floors, hand them sweaty $5 notes, leave sweaty butt prints on their chairs, reorganise their tables….oh and we invariably stink!…..
But since we starting showing up there, they have been most welcoming, forgiving the above transgressions and taking the time to learn our names and more importantly our coffees. As such we have tried to keep our notes dry and reduce our impact to a minimum.

Without intending most cyclists become coffee snobs and these guys make a pretty damn good brew. Using Essenza beans they don’t burn it or overheat the milk. Their long macs give the appropriate buzz, their moccas have just the right amount of chocolate and in summer their iced coffees sooth the savage beast.

On the food front they have a good selection, my pick being the salmon bruschetta or gourmet beans.

If you can’t make it to Maylands head over to North Perth or visit Janelle in the new Subiaco location and we sent you.
